Rogers Park: Take Five

It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood. Read on to reveal more about the Northside character.

Cats call for coffee.

cat+cafe2Buzz began around Chicago’s first feline-friendly café back last summer and has only continued to grow. Most recent rumors say Tree House Humane Society’s Cat Café plans to open its Rogers Park doors sometime this summer. Not only can you grab a cup of charitable joe but you can hang with your prospective animal adoptees.

The multifunctional space will feature floor to ceiling windows adjacent to where the rescued cats can slink and screen potential owners. A share of the café’s earnings will support rehab for the fuzzy inhabitants. Signs point to Grounds and Hounds as drink providers. These veteran altruists are already donating 20% of their proceeds to rescuing “four-legged friends”.

Do some good, and enjoy this playful blend of caffeine and purring soon at 7225 N Western Avenue!
